England Player Ratings Vs Moldova

Better late than never!! Could write a report on Friday evening due to alcohol, and Saturday I spent at IKEA, followed by having to put the furniture together!! I actually thought Moldova did quite well in the first 20 mins or so, until Lampard got his 2nd, and then it was game over. I suppose the only disappointing part of the game was that we relaxed in the 2nd half, and if we hadn't we would have scored more thaan 5! Still, can't complain with a 5-0 win, though it amazing to see how many people are moaning! So, onto the ratings

7
Will struggle to have a easier game for England!

Booked, although it was harsh. Everyone in football, barring his managers, know he would make a far better right winger! Lost his way in the 2nd half with a few rash challenges, and gave the ball away cheaply.

7
Again, won't have an easier game for England. Not liked by supporters, but to be fair, he will always give his best for England. Came off injured with a few mins to go, but I think it was more a precaution, then something serious like the media are trying to portray.

7
Again, with Hart and Terry, had an easy game. At the moment Terry's partner is a 3 way battle between Lescott, Cahill, and Jagielka. Will have a harder test against the Ukraine.

7
First competitive start. Linked up very well with Oxlade-Chamberlain. Nice to finally see him attacking like he does for Everton, though his final ball was a little under par. Fab to see him score, albeit, with a cracking deflection.

6
I have read so many reports saying how good he was. I must have been watching a different game. Don't get me wrong, despite being a red, I do think Gerrard is one of England's genuine world class players. Withdrawn at half time - either to rest for the Ukraine game, or just because he at his best.

8
Close to being Man of the Match, scored 2. Took his pen well, although it was never a pen, and movement for his 2nd was the Lampard of old. Surprised he didn't get more forward to register a hat trick.

7
Put himself about. Good opposition to make your first start and get the nerves out of the way. Was solid, but not spectacular, will get another chance.

8
My Man of the Match. Despite tiring in the 2nd half, and being withdrawn, his link up play with Baines was excellent, and he showed signs of what we can expect once he gains that experience! Looking forward to seeing his career development.

7
Still not a fan of Milner, barring energy, I just don't know what he offers us, but I am going to have to get used to it, because Hodgson like him! To be fair, took his goal well.

7
I like Defoe, he should have played for England more than he has, one of the most natural finishers we have ever had. Scored 1, with the help of the keeper. Would always be first choice for me.

6
Not poor, but failed to make an impact on the International comeback!

6
Been overtaken by club mate Oxlade-Chamberlain. Plenty of energy, and will always have speed on his side, but his passing needs to improve, a little careless in possession!

6
Only had 20mins. As long as he carries on playing for Man Utd, he will have a part to play with England.
