Well, Pompey have survived.....for a month at least, and not only that, but they have signed 10 players!! The following players have joined -
Kieran Djilali, Mustapha Dumbuya, Brian Howard, Izale McLeod and Lee Williamson have signed up for a month, as well as Keeper Simon Eastwood who changes from his non contract deal. Jack Compton, Luke Rodgers and Liam Walker are all awaiting international clearance. Brian Howard has been named as captain.
Looking at some of those names, they are genuinely good lower league players, and if they are willing to sign on for a month, then should Pompey get the go ahead for the season, then even with the upcoming 10pt deduction, then a season of consolidation is on the cards!! It's not often players will give up the opportunity of longer deals at other clubs, so they have to be commended, as does Michael Appleton for convincing them of the future!!
